They describe an ongoing qualitative project where teachers and artists work as co-researchers, so the classroom knowledge isn't treated as an afterthought. The paper reaches back to John Berger's nineteen-seventy-two Ways of Seeing, and uses that older visual culture tradition to make AI images feel inspectable: reproduction, bias, privilege, and value, not just pixels.

But the evidence is modest in the right way. It's grounded in one UK context and an ongoing project, so I'd call it a pedagogical argument with classroom examples, not a tested program with outcomes you can export whole.
